LIBOR
free energy audit
li green

Making your home more energy efficient will reduce your contribution to global warming, increase your family's comfort and save at least 25% on your energy bills.

About LI Green

LI Green is a 501(c)(3) not for profit tax exempt company affiliated with the Advanced Energy Center at Stony Brook University. In January 2009 LI Green launched the "LI Green Home Energy Efficiency Project," a community effort targeted toward helping large numbers of Long Island homeowners make their homes more energy efficient. OHCC is proud to partner with LI Green to help Long Island homeowners save energy and money.
Long Island's Oilheat Industry has partnered with LI Green to provide our customers with a FREE home energy audit. An LI Green Certified Energy Auditor will visit your home and, in the course of about an hour, assess its efficiency. We will note your home's size, number of rooms and age, any construction changes that have been made, and areas of concern such as hot or cold spots. We will also examine your utility and heating fuel bills over the past year, if available. Throughout the audit, we will pay special attention to:

  • Your home's "thermal envelope"
  • Insulation
  • Heating and cooling systems
  • Lighting
  • Appliances
  • How your family uses energy

An LI Green Independent auditor will then provide you with a "Home Energy Plan" listing recommendations to help you conserve energy and save money in every room of the house. An LI Green Independent Auditor can help with improvements that need to be made to your heating system if necessary, and recommend a certified contractor for any additional home improvements.

Together, LI Green and your local Oilheat dealer can even arrange for financial assistance for qualified homeowners to complete the recommended energy efficiency improvements.

Join the hundreds of Long Islanders who have already taken advantage of this new program.

WORKING TOGETHER TO HELP LONG ISLANDERS CONSERVE.

The Long Island Energy Alliance d.b.a. LI Green is not designed to replace any utility or government based energy efficiency programs such as "Home Performance with Energy Star" or the "Babylon Project." Rather it complements existing programs, providing a single point of entry for homeowners for the multiple fuels in their home and, at the same time, delivering synergistic program savings through economies of scale.
